Becoming a Montessori educator is to prepare for the task of aiding children’s development for life. The Diploma program is a foundation Montessori teacher training course suitable for those wishing to work with young learners. It will not only benefit current or future early years teachers but parents, carers, psychologists and also therapists.

The course aims to develop in students a high level of professional competence as teachers of the Montessori Method to children from 2.5 to 6 years of age.


It will give students

* A deep grounding in the Montessori Principle and Philosophy

* Basic understanding of child psychology and child development

* An appreciation and understanding of the teaching aids development by Dr. Montessori

* Knowledge of the Montessori environment and the role of a Montessori directress/director

* Knowledge of the Montessori Curriculum

* Developing moral and ethical education



* Montessori Philosophy

* Child Development

* Curriculum Planning

* Practical Life Exercises

* Sensorial Education

* Language, Phonics & Grammar

* Mathematics

* Cultural Subjects


Entry Requirements

*GCE ‘O’Levels including English or an Undergraduate Degree

* Good command of written and spoken English

* A minimum of 20 years of age

* 2 passport copies / identification card

* An essay comprising 150-200words to say “Why you wish to join the course?”


Language of Instruction



The diploma is awarded by Modern Montessori International (MMI), London


* Students have to attend lectures regularly

* Complete and pass written assignments

* Pass written and practical examinations

Exam Schedule

September 2019 / December 2019 


The fees of 120,000Bt include handouts, textbooks, tuition, access to the library books at the center and training room usage for practice with advance bookings. An additional examination fee between 300 pounds is charged before sitting for the practical and written exams; DD in favor of Modern Montessori International Ltd payable to London. All fees are non refundable and non transferable.



Students may choose to commence at the beginning of any module. For example, if you miss the September intake, you may join the October intake instead. Students residing outside Bangkok or overseas are encouraged to enrol in Batch 4 crash course.

Batch 1: Tuesday & Thursday 9:30am-12:30pm 

Intake: Sept 26, Oct 31, Dec 7, Jan 31

Batch 2: Tuesday & Thursday 4:00-7:00pm

Intake: Sept 26, Oct 31, Dec 7, Jan 31

Batch 3: Saturdays 9:30am-4:00pm

Intake: Sept 26, Oct 31, Dec 7, Jan 31

Batch 4 (Crash Course): Mon-Fri 9:00am-4:00pm

Intake: Jan 21, 2019 only. Good for students residing outside Bkk or overseas.
